People with style are unique. They always find a way to make even the most ordinary piece of cloth interesting. They are not trying to be perfect and fit in. They are trying to shine. Inspiration is a big problem in fashion - it is all too easy to become predictable. The posts in this blog aim to provide a regular dose of inspiration for those that hate being ordinary.
I start this blog about the craziness in fashion with a post about Mr. Crazy himself. An 11 Olympic medalist swimmer hardly needs a bold style to stend out but this does not stop the Floridian from causing a scandal almost everytime he does an interview. Some websites have called Lochte's surfer style "douchebaggy" but for me it is the good kind of crazy. I mean - if every single men on the planet was wearing a grey suit with a white shirt and a black tie every single day, it would have been boring, wouldn't it?

Fashion lately has been more about following trends than making them, so it is refreshing when we see somebody that is willing to put himself outthere with his choice of outfits. Ryan Lochte has had more than his fair share of those but today's posts is about this particular Speedo that the 400IM Olympic champion was wearing in Vegas last month.

Let's repeat. He is MAN wearing a PINK Speedo with STARS. Most men find even wearing a Speedo instead of trunks a challenge. But Lochte not only has one on but it is pink! Yes, pink is more and more acceptable in male fashion (mostly in shirts) but a pink speedo is pushing the boundaries.
Lochte designed the Speedo himself and decided to make the show complete with purple stars. Yes, one needs to be a little bit crazy to ever wear this in public. And above all - a man needs CONFIDENCE to put this on. I guess multiple world championship gold medals (26 as of September 2012) qualify as a fair amount of confidence. Thumbs up for Ryan Lochte and his bravery to be wacky in public. I'm not sure if this will start a trend but it certainly is unique.
